Nadine of the Forest is a richly layered mixed media portrait celebrating the quiet strength and enduring beauty found in nature. Emerging from a tapestry of weathered textures and delicate botanical elements, Nadine embodies the spirit of the woodland—calm, resilient, and deeply rooted.
The dimensional crimson blossoms were individually created from watercolor paper, hand painted, carefully torn by hand, and assembled with wire and tiny beads to form each flower. Their sculptural quality lifts them from the surface, inviting viewers to experience the piece from multiple angles while symbolizing growth, resilience, and the beauty found in imperfection.
Built through many layers of acrylic paint, hand-applied stenciling, and sculptural joint compound, the background evokes aged stone, moss-covered walls, and forgotten forest paths. Touches of luminous gold foil catch the light, suggesting fleeting rays of sunshine filtering through the trees and adding moments of unexpected wonder.

No experience needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy the process.
