Journey

Journey – I took this wonderful online course from Ivy Newport. I created about 8 more designs using her techniqe and added my own twist to it. I enjoyed making these cuties.

Heather

Heather is my memory of a very special woman I met several years ago. She came to an event I was involved in. She was in her 80’s and took a taxi just to meet me. I had coordinated an event and had done an interview. The interview was supposed to be about the event and the Art Gallery. It ended up being about me..which I was so surprised and grateful for. Heather told me she came just to meet me because she loved the painting they put in the artical that I had done. Demure Marie. I have more about her on her image. 🙂

Demure Marie

12×12 wooden substrate – Cold Wax/Hot Wax

Demure Marie was such a wonderful painting I created after learning how to use hot wax. She has many layers of awesomeness. About 6 years ago, she was purchased from a friend of mine. About a year later, we had this horrific wild fire which took out many homes, including the new home that Demure lived in. She did not survive the fire. Fortunately I had done a high resolution scan of her and gave my friend a print. It is not the same, but at least she had something to remember her by. Demure Marie was also on the cover of an article from an event I helped coordinate. She is special in so many ways.
