Most supplies and materials are the same as Changing Wings so I am not including a separate list. Here are the colors that I used for creating Bria Simone. https://vimeo.com/518174182 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/518159277 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/518945124 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/518898142 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/519982921 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/519534111 DOWNLOAD

CW Bonus
Bria Simone came about due to a technical error on my part. She is an additional creation of the Changing Wind series which I hope makes up for not having the last part of CW Right final creation. Bria Simone was a little bit of a challenge to paint as she is much different than the other 3 paintings. She is mostly painted and has very little added bits to make her shine. Bria Simone is a Brazilian Sea Goddess with striking hot pink and golden hair. She dances on the sandy beach of the California coast with her simple grassy dress and lots of beads making their own music…

CW Right Final Touches
https://vimeo.com/512775358 DOWNLOAD This video below is just the quick overview of what I did NOT video. https://vimeo.com/515086980 DOWNLOAD Here are a few pictures I took while creating this project. One thing that I didnt mention in the video is that I added some tiny plastic rhinestones on the wings. These are ones I have had for many years and are used for finger nail art. I did a search on Amazon and was amazed at how many kits there are for nail art with rhinestones. Here is the link in case you want to explore them. They are inexpensive and wow…what fun you can have with these. I may just…

CW – Right Doll
This is the Doll that I messed up on…yes… I somehow managed to not video the final process of creating this beautiful creation. But I do have a video below that I walk you through what I had done. My suggestion is one you finish this video, review the video on the left doll and left final touches as they are similar. This particular painting I used a technique called Asemic Drawing. You can learn more about it on Wiki…gotta love Wiki.. Its basically writing words that are not really words because you are scribbling them. You think they are a word because it looks like it could be one…or…

CW Downloadable PDF’S
Here are your PDF’s which you will need to download and print out to create all 3 dolls. I am also including butterfly wings which you can add to any of your projects to make these pieces your own. I have screen shots here, but these are not to be printed as the quality is not as good as what I put in the PDF’s. These are just so you can see what is inside each PDF. https://youtu.be/EugcfJST9EM This is the stencil pack I purchased that has the awesome sun rays. They are 12×12 and perfect for large projects… You could always use some spackle and create raised sun rays. That would be very pretty too!

CW- Left Doll
This painting is done by painting on top of the print . This is where you can also use the black and white print I created for you if you dont want to have any influence from the colors of the print. You can always paint with watercolors too on the black and white print. This way you would get the shading effects from print like the old masters perhaps! https://vimeo.com/514323108 DOWNLOAD

CW- Left Final Touches
https://vimeo.com/514335614 DOWNLOAD As you are nearing the completion of your painting, stand it up, and stand back to take a look at it. See if there is anything you think is missing. Maybe you need more blues, or darker shadows. Think about possibly adding some small butterflies. I gave you little butterflies to print. Cut them out and glue them on…make simple little bodies and watch them fly!

CW- Left Background And Hills
LINK What I love about these hills, is that there is a richness to them with the mix of colors. By adding a bit of pan pastel to deepen the shading and adding that boldness of the paynes grey!!! So yummy!!! You can add more trees, or put little sheep or cows walking around them. I can see maybe a fence line along the ridge instead of having a tree with a tire swing. Or maybe have bee’s buzzing around.

https://youtu.be/W04Ss9yguFM NOTE: This video is on my youtube channel instead of Vimeo. I am not sure how to set it up as a download able other than clicking on the youtube link on the video itself. So I am not including a downloadable link. 🙂 Marabu Crayons These crayons are so fun to work with. You can get them in most craft stores or on Amazon and other online art supply stores. Here are some tips I found on their website: Tips for Success: To blend or smudge colors smoothly, use your fingertip, a stencil brush or cosmetic sponge. Apply the Colorless Blender Crayon on top of colors as needed…

CW- Underlayer for all 3 Dolls
https://vimeo.com/512593702 DOWNLOAD Using Fiber Paste is just a wonderful way to change the look and feel to watercolor paper. It adds a whole different level of creativity. I enjoyed making these paintings with the fiber paste so much that I have been exploring it more and more. I found this awesome article by Gayle Mahoney and she explains how she uses this product for adding texture to her watercolors. Take a peek if you have a little extra time, it will be worth it! Below is an affiliated link to Amazon if you would like to explore it some more!

CW- Center Doll Cont..
https://vimeo.com/517191171 DOWNLOAD After watching these videos multiple times, you get used to the cluttery workspace!! LOL I dont have a huge workspace so it can get a bit cluttered up when I work. Since this is a larger tree, you may want to put apples or maybe have a cherry tree instead of this plain tree. Trees can be AMAZING! I love painting trees!!!

CW- Center Doll
This painting you will be painting directly on the painting, not on the paper print out. You can be as creative as you want. Change the shape, the skin tone..well..that you can change with ALL of these. I did struggle with tracing on the lines using the graphite paper, and I am sure its because of the texture. So you can always draw her freehand if you feel comfortable doing so. https://vimeo.com/512620978 DOWNLOAD

https://vimeo.com/515058470 DOWNLOAD https://vimeo.com/512777647 DOWNLOAD I have learned that there are 2 different types of Krylon Fixative’s that can be used to protect your artwork, especially with PanPastels. I have been using Krylon K01306 Workable Fixatif Spray Clear for years. I like how it works and protects your work, but I dont care much for the smell. One thing I dont like either is you can use colored pencils on top of it. But with that said, Krylon makes another fixative that works well, but I have yet to try out. Krylon K01374000 Gallery Series Fixatif Aerosol Spray. Fortunately these are not terribly expensive and the way I use it, lasts a…

CW- Salutations
Welcome to Changing Winds Mini Series I am so happy to welcome you here to this fun series of poppy fields filled with the mystery of a Cage Doll. This project is inspired by one of my display pieces made from a cage doll I purchased some time ago. It has been the centerpiece to display jewelry I create. She has done a little traveling and has received many compliments over the years. In fact I have had people offer to buy her, not the jewelry I was selling..LOL But, since she is a one of a kind type of creation, I was not willing to part with her. She…

Chatterbox
This is one of my favorite places to visit. Pacific Star Winery. What a view right? I have met so many wonderful people here and is probably one of my favorite places to sit , relax and socialize. There is nothing like the West Coast during the winter. The sunsets are amazing, the sun rises are chilly, the air is fresh and crisp! I only wish I lived closer!!! I took this photo in 2014 and did a little photoshopping with it…Love it!!! Chaos – FEEDBACK FORM There is a little story about how I came up with the title of this page. I am sure many of you have…
