About This Class
Flamingo Moon Dance is part of another project I had made a few years ago. I made a cello with the flamingos strumming on it and loved it so much. But its a large painting and harder to show all of it during the video process. I was hoping to put up the course for that project, but the video quality is terrible. It is one of my first attempts at videoing my projects…
So, FMD is a smaller version and it was super fun to put together for you. You will be playing with paper, acrylic paints, alcohol inks, pens, resin and more. You do not need to have any painting skills to create this magical piece although it would be handy to have some painting skills. This project is not appropriate for young kids since you will be using a torch and resin which is flammable.

This is the project you will be making in this class. As you see, it is slightly different than the original painting, but we use all the same techniques.
What techniques will I learn in this course?
This is a mixed media project. You will be adding layers of acrylic paints and inks. I show you how to securely adhere copper foil tape for the moon and you will learn to add resin for the final coat
Will I need special equipment?
You will need either a small torch or heatgun for the resin.
Where can I buy my supplies?
I provide a downloadable supply list with links to where I typically purchase my own supplies. Many times, Amazon has what I need. I do my best to keep your cost down as I know art supplies can be costly.
About how long will it take me to complete this project?
With any project, time varies on you and where you live. I live in California and paints dry super fast. Typical time. This project has layered resin and can take up to 2 days per layer. It is well worth the wait. 🙂
