Changing Winds is a pictorial story about an elegant statuesque cage doll. She sits upon the California hilltops looking down upon many fields full of enchanting beautiful poppies.
The story has it that with the changing winds, her point of view changes as well.
When the gentle breeze sways to the left, her hair flows elegantly with a few strikingly beautiful butterflies fluttering around her.
To the right, she shares the view of a playfully fun tree with a swing gently sways in the wind.
When there’s very little breeze, she stands proudly centered surrounded by poppies, lupins, and a sturdy tree. The tree hosts an exciting tire swing that awaits the next guest to take a whirl.
As the sun shines brightly there are little puffs of dandelions dancing like magical snowflakes in the air.
Welcome to your new Gifties courses page. Here is where you will now find all of the gifties just for my “i’m-perfection perfection” creatives. Take a look around to explore each gift. I have many more coming but not as much time as I would like to post them. Be ready for a small explosion of Xmas Gifts coming in the next 2 weeks.
Many Blessings,
Welcome to Stratis Tempore – Layers in Time. This is a mixed media piece I created using a simple acrylic fluid painting technique, a little bit of stencil, bling bling, and some beautiful metal work. I show you step by step how to create each layer. Below are some images which show you the end result. As always with my classes, you are more than welcome to use art materials you already have. No need to gather up new materials unless needed.
If you have any questions regarding the class before you purchase, you can send me a private message or leave a comment below.
What techniques will I learn in this course?
This is a mixed media project using fluid acrylic paints along with other acrylic paints. You will learn to hammer out some wire, do some wire stitching and work with foil.
Will I need special equipment?
Only thing you will need is a can of compressed air to move the paints around. If you choose to use a straw, you could get a little light headed.
Where can I buy my supplies?
I provide a downloadable supply list with links to where I typically purchase my own supplies. Many times, Amazon has what I need. I do my best to keep your cost down as I know art supplies can be costly.
About how long will it take me to complete this project?
This project will take at least 2 days. Mainly because the paint needs to dry in between the layers!
Is there anything else you teach in this course?
Not with this project.
What if I get stuck and need some help?
I am here to help you with any issues you may come across. I do have a day job so certain times of the day I may not be able to assist you right away but I will do my best to respond as quickly as I can. You can contact me by email anytime.
I can also help you through Zoom in real time if needed.
Chaos is all around us! Come join me in making some amazing chaotic art!
This class actually comes with 2 bonuses. Yup, 2 fun filled bonuses. You will learn two slightly different paintings with slightly different techniques. Although we don’t patina the copper, I thought it would be fun to show you a quick and easy way to patina the copper foil tape using liver of sulfur.

What techniques will I learn in this course?
This is a hot wax project and you will learn how to add multiple layers using papers, wax and natural elements. You will be applying hot wax (encaustic wax) with a chip brush and drip wax to add texture.
Will I need special equipment?
You will need a small hot plate and a heat tool or torch. We don’t use a lot of wax but it does need to be melted in advance to creating this project.

About how long will it take me to complete this project?
Much depends on how comfortable you are with using hot wax. And how long it takes for the layers to dry and cool. This took me at least 2 hours mostly because of making the videos. You want to take your time and not worry about any mistakes as this is a piece that what you think are mistakes are actually part of your design. Not all mistakes…are mistakes!
Is there anything else you teach in this course?
YES! in fact, I show you how to make your own clear encaustic wax. There is an entire lesson just on this topic. I also show you how I created the ink dyed paper used in this project.

Flamingo Moon Dance is a mixed media class which you will be playing with paper, acrylic paints, alcohol inks, pens, resin and more. You do not need to have any painting skills to create this magical piece although it would be handy to have some painting skills. This project is not appropriate for young kids since you will be using a torch and resin which is flammable.
