Acrylic Pouring Products
As I put this page together, I am thinking of all the possible ways and items you would need to create some amazing acrylic pours. But this list can be humongous! So I am just going to put items that can be hard to find at local craft stores and even hardware stores. I for one, love COUPONS, who wants to pay full price right? So why put items you can buy at Michaels or other craft stores who offer great coupons. One product that I do use a lot of that is not listed here is the Artist Loft Acrylic Pouring paint that is in the huge bottle. I use mainly white and black. They are thicker paints and I do thin them down with water so all the paints will flow smoothly together.
You can find a TON of videos online on Youtube, and each person uses different materials and paints. I have explored several types of paints and found the ones I like best are the Americana and Chroma. I also use a product called FINI, but it is very hard to find. I will eventually create my own video using this product so you can see how beautiful the pours turn out.
NOTE: I have found that using old acrylic paints, they don’t spread as well and sometimes chunk up a little and are hard to smooth out. BUT, sometimes those little chunks can be fun! Especially the metallics and black or white paint.
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY – BUTANE PURCHASE FOR Iwatani PRO2 , you will need to contact other vendors by phone, I called MVTRADINGONLINE(USA at 5104871682. They were very polite and sent my butane quickly.
The link for Golden Fluid Paints is for one color, but when you click on it, you will see that they have a lot more choices. One thing I love about these paints is that they are highly pigmented and you don’t need to use a ton of paint. One thing to be aware of is that you can accidentally purchase the transparent color. You do not want the transparent colors.
