I am A Mermaid!
I had this nice beautiful story about my bff and I, how we met, how we create and how our lives are now. It all got lost when I made a big mistake trying to update my website.. I do consider myself tech savvy, but there are times like this when I feel so stupid! But I do like my website and it will only get better once again.
With all this said….
My name is Christina. I have been dabbling in the art field since I was quite young. My first love has always been photography and will always be my first love. Ask my husband…hhehehe…and we have been married since 1982! I learned a lot of stuff from my dad, mainly that no matter if something was broke..we always figured a way to fix it. I was like a second son. Always in the garage working on the jeep. I even learned how to paint it. Twice and did some pin striping and painted the logo on it.. It was a race jeep, but was also street legal. I painted my first car mostly by myself and it was super fun! Guess you can say I got a taste for making a huge mess when I was young!
Today in 2019, I consider myself a mixed media artist. I strongly believe we can have more than one love of the arts.
Before I continue with my story, I want to make sure you know where a lot of my madness came from aside from when I was a kid. Back in the days, being married to a sailor, we lived on Treasure Island CA, before it was sold and converted into what ever it is today. I was a hair dresser, bringing up two small boys…hubby was gone off and on… I was at work, and this nice person sat in my chair…she was new to the area. We got along really well and I invited her over to my humble home. I learned quickly that officers were not supposed to interact with enlisted…and she was an officer and hubby was enlisted. But we..Brenda…and I didnt care about those stupid rules.
When she first came to my house..hubby was home…and wow..I had never seen him react to having a new friend in our house… He wouldn’t talk with her, he stayed clear of her and later told me what he could get into big trouble with having her around. After a while…he got used to her being over at the house…and eventually we all became good friends… almost 30 years later we are still good friends and nobody got in trouble from having her over our place…and when we moved to where we live now…who cared right?
Brenda and I created like crazy women…we did craft fairs..we had booths…and just had fun! Then one day she met her husband…then she moved far away…3000 miles away… but that didn’t stop us from having our crafting nights or days or conversations for hours on end. She has 2 young ladies now.
I do need to mention another good friend of mine… Kathy… we were the late night book store invaders…LOL idea makers…and had lots of great days of fun too… She moved away too…not as far…but still we dont get to spend much time when she is out here visiting her daughter…
Friends and family have molded me into who I am today and I love them all!
Thanks for reading about me..and my friends…there is much more to my story, but it would probably bore you…
Never give up on your dreams…who knows right? besides…it’s fun to play when you can…and very therapeutic!
Much Love…

Brenny – AKA WORD WHISPERER is my BFF from NY. She has this magical talent for words.
I call her the WORD WHISPERER because it only takes her seconds to come up with names for many of my creations. She has this way of adding more ideas into my creativity. We have been friends for a very long time. She and I created a ton of stuff back in the days for craft faires and other venues. After she moved to NY, we no longer had that physical connection but we kept our creative connection and friendship.
To the left is a painting I created of one of her photos. She created the awesome poem. She has a magical mind I always love to forge from!
You wont see her much here on the website as she lingers in the background always creating, dreaming and keeping me on track! She is the one who has many of the ideas which I put them into the creation.
